Pros

Great hours. Loved the responsibility of completing projects and being able to help clients with their job search needs. Enjoyed the respect of the district director and felt motivated to create information to pass on to the public.

Cons

Some internal personnel conflicts between local areas. People lacked self-motivation. Wish the position could become permanent full-time with benefits.

Pros

In this economy, working for DWD is very rewarding. I enjoy the customers and clients we serve and seeing first hand the connection between Employer and Job Seeker.

Cons

Promotional opportunities are few and far between.

Pros

Friendly co-workers, generous paid time off, great benefits

Cons

Redundant, mundane work, verbal abuse from very rude claimants, lazy supervisors (some, not all) lazy coworkers who get away with sleeping at their desk, and pawning off work to others
