Everyday, I felt like I made a difference in the families lives that I worked with. I saw many children gain functional skills.

Cons

Some days could be very challenging, due to child's behavior, family complications, etc. There could also be constant schedule changes from the families as well (it really depends on the families that you work with). Though you do get support from your co-workers and supervisors, this is an independent job, where you work 1:1 with the child and family. Sometimes they look to you for answers that you may not have.

Low pay for the work done. They'll replace you without blinking an eye. Not valued. Few opportunities for advancement, despite what they say.
