Pros

Firm has strong reputation in ER. but the reputation has no value outside of ER.

Cons

Too many to list them all....... Long hours, constant pressure to publish, weekend work, terrible culture, limited employee protections including HR, very immoral and abusive senior management team, lack of standard benefits including 401K. Pressured into a number of uncomfortable and unethical decisions. Limited room for advancement with a track record of firing or pushing out aspiring analysts who gain coverage. Pay always lower than it should be...... a complaint commonly shared among junior and mid-level talent. Top level talent and later hires presumably paid well. Employees tend to not like each other within sales or research. OVERALL VIEW - DONT LISTEN TO RECRUITMENT PROMISES YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Pros

some nice people at the firm

Cons

I originally wasn't going to leave a review but after reading how many false positive reviews have been left I feel inclined to leave one. Leaving Wolfe was the best decision I could have ever made. The Management Team is immoral, the way they run the company (or more like 1 person runs the company) is a dictatorship depending not on "meritocracy" but obedience. They use the term meritocracy as a way to justify paying people below market, blocking assistants from advancing to a higher position, and keep dangling the carrot that maybe with a little more hard work you will get that raise/bonus (which you will not). I cannot stress enough how much you should stay away if you care about your wellbeing.

Most People Won't Last for Long Here

Pros

The workplace was jogging distance away from my house in NY.

Cons

Most people won't last here for long due to the high pressure and the lack of resources. The company still has a long way to go when it comes to building and internal infrastructure and providing people with the tools that they need to do their jobs right.
