Pros
I genuinely like my coworkers. They're all good people who will happily share their knowledge and passion with you just for asking. You have the time to do it right. No one is constantly pestering you about delivery time or scan rate and telling you to go faster faster faster. Mistakes happen, and they can be very expensive. But the general feeling is that we're all in it together, and these are taken as teaching moments rather than chances to punish people. There's a decent amount of time each day where there's not much to do

There's a decent amount of time each day where there's not much to do. The hours are tough. Night shift especially so.
