Pros

It's a steady job even some of its businesses go slow. Hard workers will stay considered for fair review. However still not enough for some all.

Cons

Management is working only for the profit of the their own. Your communication mostly are ignored as actions. Reviews or incentives are disappointing. Move forward to next level is quite impossible unless you know someone...

Pros

You have full influence over your projects. When you own something it is yours alone. The cafe has good food.

Cons

The middle management is disconnected from their employees. There is more workload than can be handled by any one individual. I was a product engineer, a quality engineer, and a process engineer. No clear expectations for timelines of projects. Very disorganized and very "cowboy" attitude. Nobody can take the time to do anything right because there are too many projects. If you want to be a firefighter this is the place for you. Nothing runs smoothly at all and everyday is figuring out how to stop a catastrophe from occurring. The job is advertised as making process improvements, but is actually preventing the process from blowing up in your face. This is due to the points above: poor management, "cowboy" culture, and insane work load. Work life balance is nonexistent. 10-12 hr work days plus nightly conference calls. And if you have any hopes of meeting the unrealistic workload then you will probably be working weekends as well.

Pros

Working level employees trying to make best of what is managed.

Cons

- Departure of CEO is a start and long way to go with middle management. - Most dis-functional engineering organization engaged with in over 20+ years. Budgets, schedules, commitments are fluid at best. - Revolving door for employees.
