Relaxed environment. Some nice people.

Cons

Want to work in a windowless building under constant pressure, with no chance of advancement? Then Cree is for you! Worst place I have ever worked, bar none. Bad management, HR department unlike you have seen before or will see again, completely reactive decision making from the top all the way down. Keep looking.

Trying to think of some... it's not the pay, or hours, or work-life balance.

Cons

Major strategic planning issues. No idea what development we're doing beyond the next few months. Claim to be pushing for greater quality, more reliability - but when it comes to actual execution, it's ram the change through as fast as possible. It's all about this quarters results - expedite (and spend) to pull in for this quarter, but this causes major ramifications. Components division is not competitive - dragging the whole company down.

Gym and Cafeteria. High performance can earn 3%-8%salary increases and a promotion.

Cons

Management will do whatever it takes. Pushing for 10% more from employees year over year results in compounded stress, Keeping your head low is not a viable approach. Employees were compelled to engage after work hours. Plagiarism was tolerated. Anonymous 360's reviews were used to toss each other under the bus. Non-compete clause blocks future employment.
