Pros

Left alone to work however I see fit.

Cons

Management seems to have a disconnected and outdated leadership style in which they dont provide direction and will only email when you misinterpret the vague direction provided.

Pros

There are people, such as colleagues and some middle management that are willing to take the time to help you. There will be constant change, because management keeps changing and cannot stay consistent. So you will have opportunities to add additional skills to your resume that you didn't think you would do from the job description.

Cons

Senior Leadership is very secretive and adversarial. You do not learn about changes unless it is on an unplanned call, with no agenda, that plans are being up-ended. And your position is being taken in a complete other direction. If you have questions, it is taken as "push back" and you will be targeted. Most Middle Management is concerned about covering for themselves, so they are "yes men/women". As they are just delegators that deal with the reacting to the arbitrary changes that their senior managers are making. "Crap rolling down hill" Your effort and time will not be valued. But take it as a learning experience on how to learn new tasks, how to deal with toxic managers. And hopefully be able to identify a potential toxic employer and avoid working for them. As for the compensation, I found Wolfspeed to be a pay-lagger. Their merit raises were below 3%. The bonuses were lower than that of my previous employers, even during COVID. And they try to sell you that giving you equity will offset that. Their stock values have lost ~89% value since I started, you cannot sell the stock for 2 years as it loses value, to buy stock that actually earns value. And they parse out UN-restricting the stock over 5 years. So, if you leave the company, they take back the restricted stock. So you won't actually get what they say they are giving you. This place is a sham. And, they will also sell your information to brokers, which means that your junk email, robo-calls will sky rocket once you start working here. Which is really a violation of my trust. Any 5 star reviews you see with "Great Place to Work" as the Pros and "Nothing bad to say" as the Cons are self made reviews by the HR staff, indicating a very bad employer. Low class.
