Pros

Company is a size that offers good opportunities and space to grow but small enough not to feel anonymous. Quick responsibility. Great opportunities to travel as an analyst and a good work/life balance.

Cons

Clunky processes and systems. Pay comparatively modest. Lack of direction at times.

Pros

No company is perfect I guess, but what I like about working at Wood Mackenzie is that management listens, cares and tries to do something about improving a situation. I believe the company is sincere. You also are encouraged to really challenge yourself and what's perceived as the conventional wisdom of the day. Definitely open minded to new ideas and innovation. Everyone has the opportunity to make a difference and everyone's opinion matters. Wood Mackenzie is an amazing place to learn - there's so much knowledge and experience to learn from. The company's reputation is such that we get access to really senior levels of major companies in the energy space - seeing your work being presented (or even presenting it yourself!) is incredibly motivating and empowering.

Cons

Some teams just don't have sufficient people to really deliver on the free thinking that's desired, so while its really engaging work, people are also pretty stretched to deliver their core workload.
