Pros

It is amazing to see the unity that the people working at World Vision share together it's a big family a weekly you have Chapel every Wednesday I mean who goes to work and gets paid to go to church and Worship the Lord doing Kingdom work. It really is a humanitarian organization that is doing what they say they are doing in regards to being philanthropy based fundraising for less fortunate countries such as Kenya Africa Bangladesh Etc just being a part of that and actually seen from the ground level from the beginning to the end of what we help make possible for people in those other countries was amazing

Cons

I would say the downside of working at World Vision was the third party HR company in the way they did things they were a part of World Vision but a totally entity. I had a very bad experience personally with the HR department and the way things were handled in regards to my employment and my leaving of the company but I loved every minute that I worked for World Vision I believed in what they stood for and I would love to go back anytime if they were to take me.

Pros

Your work contributes to the mission of serving some of the most vulnerable children around the world. Great health coverage. Generous PTO and remote work. Great people.

Cons

Upward career mobility options are slim. Health plan premiums are expensive for family coverage. As expected, salaries are lower than similar positions in the corporate world and aside from cost of living adjustments, Salary raises are not the norm.

Pros

Huge organization, so the potential to work with a diverse set of people and many opportunities to branch out. Also because of size, able to pay employees well and offer good benefits. Compassionate managers and senior leadership who see the humanity in their employees and in their work.

Cons

Extremely bureaucratic and grounded in old models, with a high aversion to change systems and processes in order to better work. Much of the work is shaped by colonial models of the US having answers to other people's problems.
