Pros

The mission of World Vision continually brings me to work. My current management is excellent with great work-life balance.

Cons

It's a non-profit - no bonuses, rare large raises or promotions and no stock options. You won't get rich working here but you will go home satisfied.

Pros

The management cares about their employees. They assist in establishing an efficient department by making their employees feel important which makes employees better assist their customers.

Cons

Employees don't hat proper training to keep up with changing times. They have to learn from there own mistakes which is great for employees who actually learn, but others lack on efficiency, which decreases the profit margin.

Pros

Strong company values - people choose to work here even though they could earn a higher salary elsewhere. Mission and service drives the reason people elect to work here which brings a sense of camaraderie that does not exist in other working environments. The concept of work/life balance is very real here. You can have a rewarding career full of great challenges to persevere through, while still being home for dinner every night.

Cons

Company does not practice strong change management principles which makes it very difficult to institute changes to process or work models. It's like pushing boulders up a muddy hill backwards. Company also does not performance manage people well resulting in wasted donor dollars for low production staff.
