      Big gap between workers and management

      Good pay and flexible hours. Good benefits

      Cons

      Big gap between workers and management. No ladder of advancement based on qualifications and experience. You must know someone to move up. Management does not recognize talent unless it looks favorably on them. Lots of family working in the same offices. Family members get the first crack at new openings. Many in upper management have big egos. I would only recommend this employer because their salaries and benefits.

      Pros

      As an EPCM company, WorleyParsons is pretty good at landing diverse contracts, which lends to a pretty stable working environment. (Which results in fewer layoffs in down times.)

      Cons

      Perhaps they should concentrate a bit more on the assets they do have, instead of continuing to acquire more companies. Also, some of the ideas coming from Head Office are Australia-centric, which might not work in other areas of the planet.

      Cons

      Focus on hydrocarbons Poor workshare between profit center locations - silo mentality Technical expertise not fully appreciated Dysfunctional management in some locations Little desire for mobility from established offices
