Pros

Diversity - worked with people from all over the world and many of them very friendly. Work-life balance was good - 9/80 work schedule - paid vacation - decent benefits.

Cons

Volatility in the Oil and Gas industry can cost your job. IT department is largely an overhead cost so wages are low to average (unless you are in good with upper management) with little chance for growth. Upper level IT services were outsourced.

Poor interface from upper management. Engineering management is very weak
