Pros

Average commission holiday pay but after that very little

Cons

An awful basic with no reward for loyalty regardless how long you have been there. Expect to work for free at times. Terrible ever changing commisson structure, this is the most greedy company I've ever worked for and designers are actually expected at times to actually pay commission back on sales while they make thousands from the sale "pure madness". Zero reward or bounus for doing your job correctly. Don't expect to earn any commission for the first 6 months.. They even take the first £200 a month away from their designers ??????? Expect to be fined hundreds of pounds from your wages if a customer changes their mind once the kitchen has been delivered.. Don't expect any support from head office they'd rather blame the designers in the showrooms. Ridiculously high staff turnover in showrooms, terrible morale, dog eat dog mentality, expect to see new managers and designer's come and go frequently.. anyone under 2 years is never safe and they'd rather fire than train staff.. designers treated as cash machine dispensers and with very little respect.. they burn management out with continuous demands. The higher senior management style is completely stale and out of date in the modern working world. They don't care about the customers purchase and only about the numbers on a monopoly make believe spreadsheet. This company prides them self on integrity and family values. This couldn't be further from the truth as apart from a handful the other hundreds of employees are just numbers. The customers experience matters very little and expect lies and to lie. I have even witnessed a senior manager telling management to help boost reviews on this site as they are so poor. The list could go on, just save your time and effort and avoid this company.

Pros

Salary Accept most applicants that show some intelligence Good starting point Great showrooms Excellent self selling product Competitive pricing Excellent training Easy software Customer review focused If you can deal with the negative constant pressure that cascades from the sales figures and the KPIs from management and their seniors threatened with the risk of your job. Then it is a very rewarding company with high job satisfaction.

Cons

Stress from above No job security Threat of job loss regularly Sales numbers over service High expectations with next to no management Constantly wrong pay Ever worsening commission Heavy penalties for mistakes High staff turnover Hire and fire approach to problems Seemingly no end to probation which is minimum 1 year Try and look for reasons to fire you at 2 years as this is when you have legal rights. The company would get away with murder of it was profitable. The showrooms are a brilliant environment to work in but it is only that way for the customers, as soon as you get behind the scenes it's dog eat dog. The worst con which is a con itself is that about a year ago the management and other staff myself included were asked to make fake positive reviews on THIS site to boost the companies score as it was so poor. I declined and of you look at the history ofthe rating of the company you can see a random sudden improvement. All fake.
