Even with the cons it's a great place to work

Pros

Hours/contracts available, plenty of different contracts available so work/home life balance can be achieved if you are smart enough! Expanding at a phenomenal rate with plenty of opportunities for progression. Very passionate company/staff. Best product on the market that sells itself. Training is second to none at the academy. Plenty of procedures in place that help and guide you (providing the management follow them) The ideas and creativity from above are sometimes brilliant, but are then not put into place by retail! Designer bonus structure. Compliance Officers checking everything you do. Beautiful showrooms.

Cons

Quality can vary from store to store/no consistency. Quite a lot of designers and store/assisstant managers are clueless and have been overpromoted/should not have been taken on in the first place. Once left the academy there is no support for new starters (varies per store) current buddy system is useless. You don't actually get managed due the constant push for target (hourly, daily, weekly, periodically, last 4 weeks, last 8 weeks, last 12 weeks, monthly, yearly, seriously!) Management bonus structure. Communication from departments at head office. Often things are chnaged and nobody is made aware until an error is made, then the attitude is just "should have checked" Overbearing amount of KPI's that mean nothing. Management get paid on 1 KPI, nobody cares about the rest. Retail side of the business lacks focus on anything but target. No comeback/disciplinaries for people that don't care. Nobody wants to listen to your opinion. A pretty face can get you a long way.

Pros

An ever changing environment, up to date products and always striving to better itself in everything it does. A rapidly expanding company means I there is always career progression.

Cons

Constant changes means you need to be flexible to pick up new areas in the business

Pros

One of the main strengths of Wren has been the willingness to invest in the people, process and product. The business has evolved hugely in the 5 year I have been with Wren and it is genuinely exciting to be part of the journey. There is a clear plan for the business moving forward and support structure for people joining the team. When I joined the team there was a reputation of being a hire and fire company but that is no longer the situation. Those who work hard are well rewarded for their efforts and those who are not are rightfully held accountable for their actions as ultimately poor performance impacts the customers experiance. I intend to spend the forseeable future working within Wren and do not regret making the decision to move to Wren from their competition 5 years ago.

Cons

None if you are willing to work hard.
