Not what I expected

Pros

• Good people in middle management and below • Competitive salary & benefits (You are more likely to get laid off first if you negotiate a better salary for yourself) • CEO is a good guy but still cutting his teeth

Cons

• This is NOT a software company, this is a payroll company. They describe it like a software company but don't buy that, they just resell Kronos (which is not user friendly and their customers don't like). • Management is pretty lost, this company is constantly reacting to fires instead of proactively managing issues and management team changes frequently. • They didn't hit their company goals once while I was there which means you won't get your full bonus (if any). Additionally, because of this, they had a 30% layoff. They tried to cover it up and say it was because of COVID but that was an insult to our intelligence. • The company is consistently trying to take on more than it has the capacity to by selling anyone who is interested (even if they are not going to be a good customer) which leads to an overworked implementation and support team which in turns leads to a bad customer experience and ultimately customer churn. • No work from home option under normal circumstances. With COVID, employees are allowed to work from home. • Company culture is weak at best, only really a sense of camaraderie in your own team. • Micromanagement at it's finest, they will hire you based on your experience but then management will tell you how to do your job even when it's not the best way. They should focus their energy on the bigger picture.

Pros

Career growth opportunities, work alongside great people, flexible work schedules, good pay, ability to wear many hats and contribute to multiple sides of the business, being able to contribute to the growth of the cannabis industry, you can see your direct impact on the company, fully stocked snack shelf, strong company desire to support the industry.

Cons

Startup life can be challenging especially when working in the emerging cannabis industry where changes are the normal. Lack of retirement contribution options.

Pros

WORK FROM HOME ABILITY !! Bring your dog to work, parking pass, free ecopass for public transportation, Great PTO policy. Creativity and innovation for improving and growing the company. Competitive pay. This has been an incredible experience so far and I am nothing but grateful, and pleased to be involved in something that improves the growth of cannabis companies.

Cons

Heavy workload can be stressful at times. But if you aren’t willing to hustle and put your head down, startups aren’t for you as there comes many challenges to overcome. We are all learning together. It’s not really a con, just have to come in and compete everyday with the tasks at hand.
