Pros

Unlimited PTO, most of the non management is wonderful. It’s probably the only reason they are still open for business.

Cons

Pay is subpar HR is a complete mess Pretty much all of the executive team Work load - most are attempting to do the job of 2+ If you are good, you are not rewarded, only loaded with more work. Company values that are not even closed to being held up, especially by upper management. There honestly too many reasons to list. Check with any of the 100+ that have left within the last three years. This is NOT an exaggeration.

Pros

The Staff: Overall, the people at Wurk are respectful and supportive of one another. Everyone works hard and makes an effort to ensure that their colleagues have the support they need. Some outliers have a "me first" mentality, but overall the group focuses on the success of everyone. People-centric: Over the past 5 months, the company mindset has pivoted to embrace people's health and well-being above profit. Wurk is focused on providing a quality product provided by happy people; they are working hard to put a smile into Work literally.

Cons

Retention/Headcount/Workload: There is a high volume of turnover at all levels of the company, and the amount of work expected of employees can be staggering. However, you can count on colleagues to lend a hand when you need help.

Pros

• Good people in middle management and below • Competitive salary & benefits (You are more likely to get laid off first if you negotiate a better salary for yourself) • CEO is a good guy but still cutting his teeth

Cons

• This is NOT a software company, this is a payroll company. They describe it like a software company but don't buy that, they just resell Kronos (which is not user friendly and their customers don't like). • Management is pretty lost, this company is constantly reacting to fires instead of proactively managing issues and management team changes frequently. • They didn't hit their company goals once while I was there which means you won't get your full bonus (if any). Additionally, because of this, they had a 30% layoff. They tried to cover it up and say it was because of COVID but that was an insult to our intelligence. • The company is consistently trying to take on more than it has the capacity to by selling anyone who is interested (even if they are not going to be a good customer) which leads to an overworked implementation and support team which in turns leads to a bad customer experience and ultimately customer churn. • No work from home option under normal circumstances. With COVID, employees are allowed to work from home. • Company culture is weak at best, only really a sense of camaraderie in your own team. • Micromanagement at it's finest, they will hire you based on your experience but then management will tell you how to do your job even when it's not the best way. They should focus their energy on the bigger picture.
