Pros

The People are amazing and the company is growing like wildfire!

Cons

Work :) I wish I had more time to be at home - but they pay well and the commission potential beats being at home

Pros

There is not 1 pro!

Cons

Pay is horrible and the commission plan changes almost every month and never in your favor. I've been here for 16 months and have been forced to move desks and buildings 11 times! Really? They don't have a freaking clue what they are doing. Horrible corporate atmosphere.Lowest possible insurance coverage. Pretty much no insurance coverage. They make you work 9.5 to 10 hour days and a Saturday every other month with NO compensation. They do not care about their employee's well being at all. Snowed and iced over 7 inches here. Roads were horrible and unsafe. The Mayor and Governor pretty much closed down the city, yet we get back to work the next day and our manager threatens everyone with no pay and says that we should have all come in. Yea, who cares if we die or get in wrecks on the way here. As long as XPO can make their money. I know of a company 50 times bigger than XPO that closed down their offices due to weather and made it mandatory that all 900 local employees do not come in. That just shows you how much XPO cares about their employees. All they care about are numbers. How much can you make them and how many phone calls do you make a day. Give me a break! I hope this company fails and goes bankrupt !!!!! DO NOT work here and if you already do RUNNNNN!!!!

Pros

I came from 10 years as a manager in the hospitality industry and I am very pleased to find XPO. I can still maintain my connection to hospitality, but from a Logistics/SCM standpoint. Honestly, cold calling sucks, but that's how I develop my business. If I created my own company, I would do the exact same practice (at least in principle) to grow my company so...it is what it is. The major pros that I've found so far: -The atmosphere in Reno definitely keeps me energized -Developing Business Development skills/strategies -Developing trust in others and teamwork skill -Learning what win/win business practices look like -Seeing that my financial goals are realistic and not a "pie in the sky" promise -I can create the business that suits me and I am challenged as I learn a new industry.

Cons

Cons: -Cold calling sucks -Managing a process I cannot see or organize is tough -Money will come, but takes a while to generate (although my boss does set me up for success the best they can) -Business Development = Sales. If you do not want to sell, do not fool yourself (see Con #1)
