Pros

Benefits. That’s about it. We had really good benefits.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. Management at the location I was at had no clue what they were doing. Employees were mistreated and the turnover rate was astounding. This location partnered with another company - and XPO’s management decisions are a big reason why that location failed and ultimately closed.

Pros

People seem nice and friendly. Competitive Pay and Benefits. Large International company with plenty of opportunities (not a start-up - see cons).

Cons

No work/life balance. Non-essential meetings can last into the night. There is a perception that if you are not giving 60 hours a week you are not enjoying your job - fear driven approach. They seem to insist that this is a start-up mentality which brings innovation and better products. Unfortunately they are operating on an enterprise level so this mentality seems to be a huge blocker for growth and success. I have witnessed employees with critical family emergencies having to call into meetings or come into the office. There is no secondary line of support planning for situations like this. Processes (Waterfall) restrict product innovations. There seems to be talk about agile methodologies and innovations but based on the current culture and organizational structure this would be impossible. Organizational culture seems to be a very ego driven/lack of humility. More worried about their appearance than the product design and development. This is another observation that I feel is keeping innovation stagnant. User Experience is not based on research which seems to be a dirty word in some parts of the organization, including the UX organization itself. There seems to be a drive for only visual innovations to replicate industry product lines that are outside of their demographic such as Uber and Amazon. The user is completely left out of any product decision making and management staff seems making user-centered design decisions.

Pros

you had the weekends off

Cons

by far the worst job I’ve ever had. everybody is completely unprofessional and ignorant. Management is run by young, incompetent losers who barely know what they are doing. Coworkers are absolute awful.
