      Great perks, weak pay

      Pros

      Best insurance around, tons of extra activities, sports, events, and more. Some really great people working there (for now).

      Cons

      Weak pay, no advancement, lots of promotions for friends and family members. Too focused on short term money and completely ignoring long term viability and their customers. Problems are mostly ignored until a select few customers start complaining. A lot of management have no experience in tech or even management and just cause more problems. CEO, VPs, and senior devs just jumped ship to form a new company.

      Pros

      Xactware takes care of their employees, with great company parties, a family like environment, and they really want you to succeed. Insurace is awesome.

      Cons

      They pay far below the industry standard, and their raises are 1-2%. I was told I was one of the top performers in my reviews, had a great annual review, and still ended up with less than a 1% raise. They try to supplement with rumored generous bonuses, but bonuses are never guaranteed, and raises and opportunities for advancement are not where they should be. Not clear career paths, very hard to move up.

      Pros

      Great people to work with. Excellent benifits including transportation, Health and Dental, a gym, 401k matching, etc. People are very kind, and i remember my sister (who was temping for the company for a few months) got a flat tire in the parking lot. By the time she called me and i got where she was pulled over, i found our CEO laying in the dirt trying to get the jack in the right position. It's very casual, and most schedules are flexible. I could come in at 6 am and leave at 3pm or come in at 10am and leave at 7pm without notifying anyone.

      Cons

      For a long time, there were no cons. However, i applied for a promotion and was denied in spite of performing similar responsibilities the whole time i was working for them. Two days later, i was given responsibilities from that position. When i brought it up with my bosses, they made excuses.
