      The company is very family oriented.

      Because the company is so family oriented, there's a lot of nepotism. At times it feels like the company is literally one family.

      Pros

      Team activities, annual bonuses, generous PTO starting out, nice people to work with. Hardly anyone gets fired or laid off

      Cons

      Huge amount of Legacy code with little to no ownership. Massive technical debt. Products are buggy at times due to management pushing for more features over defect remediation and huge legacy code base.

      Pros

      I have read some other reviews and find that each department is different. My experience - My co-workers are top notch engineers that are motivated, intelligent and good people. I have a great manager. He is picky about who he hires, which makes for a good working environment. The work/life balance here is good. The department puts out high quality work without stressing everyone out. I like working here. Compensation is good, insurance and PTO is good.

      Cons

      I am finding that some of my co-workers are leaving for other companies. I don't think Xactware is as competitive in compensation or incentives as they used to be.
