Struggling Company

Pros

+ Good pay and benefits, flexible time off + Many people were fully remote across the U.S., but that could change as they seem to be hiring people closer to their East Coast offices. + Experienced no micromanagement + Team members who I interacted with day-to-day were talented and professional

Cons

- I had several managers in the span of less than a year!!! Questionable senior leaders, some rude and shady. - Cold lay off meetings with small severance packages. There are layoffs every few months. - Their stock really tanked in March of 2023 and hasn't really recovered. -Entire departments have been audited. This company is in trouble.

Pros

Manual dexterity and attention to detail were always said to be what was needed. Others just needed to be a warm body. Lots of workplace certificates that probably should take more stringent procedures to live up to, but don't worry, you'll scrape by.

Cons

Strong cognitive disconnect in communication between upper management and the daily workers. Conscious decisions to avoid dealing with problem employees increasing the workload on others. Lots of talk about teamwork without fostering any goodwill. Increasing rates of employee turnover signals the rising stress in those that work vs those that know how to shirk. When a reliable veteran employee cracks from ever increasing stress, discard them. When a new employee actively hinders production, keep them on for years out of fear of a wrongful termination lawsuit.
