Cons
Heavy micromanagement, especially from directors who directly interfere via Teams. Managers promoted prematurely (from SSE to manager) based more on personal rapport with leadership than merit. Leadership focuses on office politics rather than technology or innovation. Unclear and inconsistent promotion practices—employees promoted and then expected to replace others shortly after. Limited complaint mechanism; raising concerns risks being put on a PIP. Job security is especially poor in the Payment team.
