Pros

There are many supportive people here. Due to rapid growth, the company actively encourages innovation and process changes to boost efficiency. Management strives to be receptive, which is great. People don't take themselves too seriously either, which keeps things interesting. The Orbit leave perks are fantastic—you get to work from anywhere for two months a year—and office days are only two days per week.

Cons

The pace of change has been intense. Several of the benefits we once enjoyed have been cut, and overall, the company culture has suffered. It is concerning to see talented individuals leaving because they feel overworked and undercompensated. Although the office space is not ideal, the office coordinator remains a positive force, keeping everything together.

Toxic, Unethical, and Built to Fail

Pros

None, unless you're desperate for a job that bad.

Cons

If I could give zero stars, I would. Xplor Recreation is hands down the most toxic, dysfunctional, and unethical sales organization I’ve ever encountered. The turnover rate is astronomical—higher than any other department in the company and possibly in the entire recreation software space. That alone should tell you everything. Expect constant harassment, micromanagement to the point of absurdity, and leadership that has no concept of professional boundaries. You’re expected to be available 24/7, and any attempt to set a work-life balance is seen as a lack of “commitment.” Be prepared for daily threats about your job security, unrealistic quotas, and a workplace culture built entirely on fear and intimidation. There is no onboarding, no real training, and no support. You will be handed a book of dead accounts, expected to sell a broken product with no guidance, and then blamed when you can’t hit the absurdly high quotas that were never meant to be achievable in the first place. Why? Because Xplor Recreation’s entire strategy is to set people up to fail—ensuring they can churn through low-paid employees without ever paying commission kickers or bonuses. Management makes it clear from day one: if you aren’t performing within a couple of months (without training, without a roadmap, and with a product that barely works), you’ll be put on a performance plan. These PIPs are nothing more than a polite way to fire you without severance while they go hire their next round of desperate job seekers. They want a skeleton crew of underpaid, disposable sales reps and operate accordingly. Compensation is a joke. You’ll be sold on a dream of high commissions, solid benefits, and strong earning potential—but in reality, you’ll be living paycheck to paycheck. Commissions disappear, quotas are manipulated, and leadership will do anything possible to avoid paying you what you’re owed. There’s no 401K, no long-term vision, and zero stability. As for the product? There is no product roadmap. Development has been gutted due to mismanagement, lack of sales (shocker, when your entire sales team is set up to fail), and outright fraud when it comes to reporting revenue and performance to the parent company, Xplor Technologies. If you’re looking for a company that values innovation, strategic planning, or even basic financial competence, this is not the place for you. Nepotism runs the show. Promotions are based on favoritism, not performance. The company has zero cultural diversity, and if you’re not part of the “in crowd,” you’ll be treated like an outsider from day one. Clients? They’re just dollar signs. Leadership has no interest in forming genuine partnerships—only in extracting as much money as possible before moving on to the next victim. Employees? They’re expendable. Still not convinced? Feel free to Google “PerfectMind lawsuits” if you don’t want to take my word for it. This is not a place to build a career. This is a place to burn out, get disrespected, and regret every day you spend here. Save yourself the stress and run—there are plenty of other companies that actually respect their employees and customers.

"Xplor Recreation: Where 'Growth' Means Watching Your Soul Shrivel"

Pros

The cons outweigh any pros this company may offer by a 1000 to 1 so nothing to add here.

Cons

Xplor Recreation: A Masterclass in Corporate Dysfunction Welcome to Xplor Recreation (formerly ChampionsWay, PerfectMind, and whatever they decide to call it next year when they try to bury their bad reputation again). I highly recommend you reading the reviews of those brands too in order to get a full picture of what’s happening here as the core issues have been embedded in the body of this 27-year-old company. If you’re looking for a company that values innovation, respects employees, and fosters career growth… well, keep looking. Management: A Comedy of Errors Imagine a boardroom filled with people who have absolutely no idea what they’re doing but still insist they’re the smartest in the room. That’s Xplor’s leadership in a nutshell. The company's strategy is about as coherent as a toddler’s finger painting, and decisions are made with all the foresight of a goldfish planning a long-term investment strategy. The only real innovation here is how frequently they change the company name in a desperate attempt to escape bad Glassdoor reviews. Career Growth: You’ll Grow… in Frustration Want a promotion? That’s adorable. Xplor doesn’t promote based on talent or hard work—they use a sophisticated selection process known as "random chance and favoritism." If you’re a yes-man who enjoys bootlicking and nodding along to terrible ideas, you might get ahead. Otherwise, prepare to be stuck in career purgatory, watching incompetent people climb the ladder while you handle their mess. Work-Life Balance: Spoiler Alert – There Is None If you enjoy being micromanaged, overworked, and underappreciated, congrats! You’ve found your dream job. Xplor will happily dump a truckload of work on you while pretending to care about your well-being. Burnout is not just common here—it’s practically a company value. They’ll tell you they’re “like a family,” which is true if your idea of family is being exploited by people who gaslight you into thinking they’re doing you a favor. The main culprits are the leadership team and that includes both the internal ones and the external ones from the parent company Xplor Technologies that have destroyed every brand they own. Compensation & Benefits: The Real-Life Definition of "Bare Minimum" Expect a salary so low that even inflation pities you. Asking for a raise is a journey in futility, much like trying to explain cryptocurrency to your grandparents. The benefits package is an insult to the word “benefits.” You might get the occasional free coffee, but don’t count on anything that actually improves your quality of life. Company Culture: Corporate Stockholm Syndrome Xplor’s culture is what happens when mediocrity, paranoia, and delusion have a baby. Management loves sending out emails about “exciting changes,” but the only real change is the turnover rate, which is mainly caused by continuous layoffs on a seasonal basis. Over the past few years well over half of the company head count has been laid off in an attempt to “restructure the work force” but the actual culprits in the leadership roles causing all the issues still get to keep their jobs and keep increasing their own bonuses and salaries. And the layoffs are across all the brands owned by Xplor Technologies so no one is safe regardless of how well you have done in your role. Many individuals that have been let go all had years of experience with the company and all had satisfactory or exceeding satisfactory reviews annual too. The company keeps pumping out fake positive reviews online, but we all know the truth—Xplor is a dumpster fire that HR is desperately trying to Photoshop into looking like a five-star resort. Final Thoughts Unless you enjoy pointless meetings, empty promises, and the soul-crushing weight of corporate incompetence, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. Xplor Recreation isn’t a job—it’s a cautionary tale.

Hi there, We’re really sorry to hear that your experience at Xplor Recreation was so frustrating. It’s clear that you had strong feelings about your time here, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective in detail. We know that leadership plays a huge role in shaping company culture, and we take feedback about management seriously. It’s disappointing to hear that you felt there was a lack of clear direction and fairness in career growth. We want Xplor to be a place where talent is recognized and rewarded, and while we’re not perfect, we are working hard to improve how we develop and promote employees. Regarding work-life balance, we never want our teams to feel overworked or undervalued. We aim to create an environment where people feel supported, not just in words but in action. That said, we want to be upfront with our employees about why changes happen, whether it’s leadership decisions or shifts in company strategy. If that wasn’t your experience, we recognize that we have work to do in making sure our communication is clear and honest. We also want to directly address your concern about fake reviews. We do not promote, request, or encourage fake reviews in any way. Every review - positive or negative - helps us understand employee experiences, and we value honest feedback. Workforce reductions are always incredibly difficult decisions, and we know they affect real people who have given a lot to Xplor. With this said, we are constantly evaluating how we can build a more stable and supportive workplace where all our employees feel secure in their contributions. We know that words must be accompanied by actions to create a positive work experience. If you’re able to, we invite you to share more details about what you’ve experienced anonymously via our whistleblowing platform, so we can investigate thoroughly - https://secure.ethicspoint.eu/domain/media/en/gui/108567/index.html.
