Pros

Having worked at a company that was acquired by Xylem, the people that I worked with truly cared about the company vision & social impact they were making.

Cons

Xylem operates as a massive start-up company, without an overarching vision. The Executive Leadership team seems inexperienced & has difficulty developing & communicating a clear vision. The cultures of the companies acquired by Xylem are over-taken within the first year of acquisition, resulting in reduced morale across the organizations. The messaging of critical communications to staff is poor, often resulting in confusion. There is a general lack of leadership throughout the organization, at all levels. The company continues to operate as individual entities - there is no overarching unity. Growth opportunities are severely limited beyond middle management level.

Pros

Lots of overtime and decent pay. Some very nice co workers.

Cons

Management is awful they will write you up for the smallest offense regardless of work ethic. The union is also in management's pocket

Pros

$3.4B global business which can potentially be a good place to retire, there a lots of good employees, plenty of opportunities for change.

Cons

Sink-or-swim culture, playing favorites in certain departments, lots of work inefficiencies and ineffectiveness due to inconsistent directions from Senior management, a lot of scare tactics and whip cracking to get things done, lack of regard to product quality and customer satisfaction in favor of meeting production outputs, poor work-life balance and arrangements due to union considerations.
