Pros

Nothing this place is miserable

Cons

Called it a Leadership program which just means you work overtime for no extra pay. I was told to work 50 hours a week and sometimes on weekends. By the way the pay was basically poverty level. I was hired in march for a july start. A month before I started they told me to move to buffalo. Not enough time in this rental market. When I got there the building was rundown and depressing. The business is extremely disorganized and management doesn’t really care. Hourly workers know the truth which is why there is such high turnover. I was so depressed every morning I had a sick feeling in my stomach that this was my life. I quit immediately. This was such a horrible experience for me please don’t relieve my agony. This is not a real engineering firm it’s a disgusting filthy sweatshop. I don’t even want to think about it anymore my experience was just a nightmare.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on what obviously wasn’t a positive experience for you, working with us. We clearly could have done a better job communicating with you from before the offer right through to your placement, management and development in the role. So, we have taken your feedback as a catalyst to revise our offer-to-placement timeframe, and also to update the role description for the leadership program you were a part of, so candidates have an even clearer idea what to expect. Even if your experience isn’t the norm – 86% of all colleagues rate Xylem 77% on employee engagement – we know it was 100% of *your* experience with Xylem. If nothing else, your feedback will make it even more rare. We appreciate it.

Pros

They were really focused on career advancement

Cons

Xylem is an umbrella company with many subsidiaries beneath them. Do research on some of the other companies. because if switching to Sensus , for example, the work culture can differ greatly, and you can end up in horrible work environments. Great overall company, however.

Pros

You will not get fired because they are very desperate in purchasing and can’t keep headcount.

Cons

Managers are not trained properly. Managers are super unprofessional. HR is not for the employees but for the managers and all the managers are former Honeywell employees that protect each other. From the plant floor to the VP they are all Honeywell employees.
