Pros

People were the greatest asset at Xyratex. Highly committed, hard-working and talented workforce with good benefits and work-life balance for most (but not all).

Cons

Senior Management communication lacking, with limited strategic direction. Too many Director-level and above Management made for a top-heavy organisation. Regular lay-offs rapidly followed by bursts of hiring made it a culture of uncertainty.
