Pros
-YPM has a TERRIFIC group of people working for the company. Co-workers are generally hard-working, cooperative, and friendly. Management supports its employees, shows high character, and finds ways to recognize good work. -YPM does a great job of on-boarding new employees. I came in with a decent foundation, but I can honestly say that in my time at YPM I learned so much, built up my skills, and became a more valuable business professional. -YPM works with many truly impressive clients. Brands that are household names across the country, in lots of different verticals. There’s tremendous opportunity here if you take your work seriously. -Very satisfactory work/life balance. There’s occasions where you may need to stay late or put in time on the weekend to wrap up a big project, and it’s going to depend on what exactly your job is. But the company culture is that at 5p, people generally go home and don’t check their work emails at night.
Cons
-YPM is a fairly traditional work environment. You’re expected to be in the office on time, in appropriate business wear, and work while you’re on the clock. Most people work from a cubicle, and it’s generally quiet around the office. I like the structure and being able to concentrate on my work in this kind of environment, but it may not be for everyone. -This is an agency environment, so expect to work at a fast pace, juggle multiple projects at once, and be ready to change focus at a moment’s notice. This isn’t unique to YPM, it’s just the nature of working in this industry.
