Once a Good company. Now a struggling company
Pros
For the most part a good environment. Each facility is fairly small so it is somewhat like a small business.
Cons
The company is a merger of Roadway and Yellow Freight. Due to some poor decisions in aggressive growth by buying up companies the two were forced to merge operations to cut cost. The company was losing money and selling off property to survive. What once was a company that had a great training program began a company with almost no training. Bonuses gone, salary cut across the board. Still pretty good pay but not what people were looking for that had a lot of experience with the company. Future was pretty dim when I left in 2012. Looks like they may be turning the corner but not a place that is going to have any real growth for a long time.
