managing teamsters was like herding lazy cats. Manager told me when he hired me that I wouldn't work graveyards and max hours would be 50 hours a week. After I was hired I was put immediately on graveyards and worked 65+ hours a week (salary pay). Training involved throwing me in the water and seeing if I could swim. No manuals. Most of my training came from disgruntled teamsters who didn't want to help. At the end of each shift I was lectured in front of anyone present by the manager for up to an hour about how I wasn't pulling my weight. After 8 months the manager was fired and replaced with new. The hours stayed the same but I wasn't lectured. Through it all corporate big wigs would show up to lecture. "Why cant you get these lazy cats to perform like raging bulls?" (Because there contract gives them more rights, privileges, and job security than I have).
