Pros

The mission of the YWCA is great. What their intentions are in serving the community are admirable, but it comes at the expense of it's employees.

Cons

In the short, high stress time I was there, I witnessed a very high turnover rate. The demands of each employee are unreasonable.

Pros

Social work with people who have experienced violence is both challenging and rewarding. Fast pace, not boring, lots of face time with people, and some great team members to work with. I've gained a ton of experience and increased work skills in a variety of areas.

Cons

Management stinks and they don't care about the laborers as people, to be honest. The hierarchy is rigid, the management is out of touch with the work being done in domestic violence, and the culture of the office as a while is struggling to adapt to change and burnout from the difficult nature of the work. Can't wait to leave this job even though I love so much about it! :(

Pros

I love being a fitness trainer. It is absolutely my calling. I have NEVER left a bad review about a gym I work for, because I've never had a bad experience.. Until now. Do NOT expect anything other than a paycheck from the YWCA Del norte region. They do not care about their trainers. You are nothing more than a tax write off

Cons

If you are hired expect to be taken for granted and ridiculed.
