Pros

Job security, health insurance, HR, generous sick days and holidays.

Cons

I usually don't write reviews if it is bad, but I had to this time. I worked at Peabody museum, and it had all the bad things I could experience. It is place for old people or students basically. I needed a recovery time from what I experienced after I quit. Basically, I met the worst manager in my life who didn't want to communicate, review my code, test my work, and involve in any of development process even though it is his project. Also, the salary was so low that my previous employer paid more than what I made from Yale after annual raise. Peabody didn't care about isolated staffs. They tried to look like they care, but they didn't at all. I barely was able to talk to people.

Pros

Yale provides good benefits such as health, dental, and vision. They provide a generous vacation package for long timers. You can have the opportunity to work with some brilliant faculty members.

Cons

Overall Yale lacks career opportunities if you are not a faculty member. In my department there are a lot of employees who are paid very well, but do very little. They actually cause more problems for the people who have to fix them. Management in my department lacks management skills. A lot of projects I have worked on have had very little planning.
