      Pros

      Company has good work-life balance and respectable benefits. Engineering has good perks - trips to support product launches, etc.

      Cons

      Micro-management is rampant - part of the Japanese culture. Pay is below average. My colleagues who have left have received 20% or higher raises in areas with similar cost of living index scores. Company places artificial requirements (tenure) on job promotions, no matter how good performance reviews are.

      The people are awesome! The HR department is the best, they really care about their employees. Compensation and the bonus structure is right on target.
