      Profitable company, but not for the employees. No opportunity for advancement. No stock options. Poor company events.

      Pros

      Live in sunny Santa Barbara, California. Colleagues are nice. Wear flip flops, shorts, and a torn t-shirt to work. Three minute drive to the beach makes for nice lunch breaks. From an external perspective this company is a gold mine. Company has experienced monetary growth every year since its inception.

      Cons

      Very few professionals. Pay is horrible. Raises are even worse. Commonplace to promote employees but not provide a raise or any additional benefits. President/founder is the company's sole shareholder and is clueless of internal employee dissatisfaction - or perhaps he just doesn't care. Also, the coffee in rancid.

      Pros

      The benefits are good and I love my co-workers. There are a lot of smart people at this company.

      Cons

      There is almost no opportunity for growth. The upper management are all "yes men" who tell the owner what he wants to hear and cover up employee dissatisfaction and client complaints. They hardly ever promote anyone or give new titles so there isn't much opportunity to grow.
