Pros

Because the amount of virtual events doesn’t require as many hands on deck, I’ve been able to work alongside another team and add 3 new platform skills to my experience. Among the many who have lost their jobs with our current world affairs, I am beyond grateful to have the continued opportunities to grow at Yardi.

Cons

I was afraid the old school culture would inhibit my workplace experience, but Yardi’s response to Covid-19 and management’s ability to extend into remote work was exactly what I hoped to see! I love having zero commute and enjoy the effort everyone has put into making virtual life a team atmosphere.

We are committed to supporting our clients, communities and employees through these uncertain times. We’ve successfully transformed many of our events to virtual experiences and appreciate the hard work of everyone who has made this possible, as well as the flexibility of many employees to help on other teams and learn new skills. While we aren’t in a rush to get employees back to the office, many of our employees are looking forward to being back in the office, when it’s safe to do so, and connecting with their coworkers. We appreciate you taking the time to write a wonderful review!

Pros

The company has BCBS, great health insurance benefits, decent accommodations at company sponsored events, and overall travel arrangements pre-covid19

Cons

Very limited opportunities for upward mobility, upper management could careless about your work-life balance or your health, not even during a global pandemic. Extensive learning curve, depending on the vertical. You better meet your quota, or be at risk of termination, regardless of your tenure with the company. You'll learn about the other verticals but won't get the opportunity to cross-train or switch to a new product until after 2 years of employment. No equity either, so good luck in the long-term investment!

We’re glad you are enjoying the wonderful health insurance, benefits and fun events (pre-COVID) in the Santa Barbara office. Work-life balance is an important aspect of our culture worldwide. We recently increased hiring efforts and will add over 100 employees this month to help keep up with our continued growth. We offer competitive time off (PTO/Vacation), paid holidays, and floating holidays throughout the year and believe in using this time for personal well-being. Our eLearning team offers online classes to encourage growth and we also have a generous tuition reimbursement benefit. We encourage you to schedule time with HR to discuss your concerns and suggestions.
