Do not work for them.

Pros

The company goes through a lot of employees, and many of them are intelligent, creative, and funny. I have nothing but great things to say about my co-workers and got along well with everyone I worked with.

Cons

The people making decisions for the company don't understand what the job entails, so it's impossible for them to determine who is actually doing their job. Management can't tell the difference between a productive worker and someone who spends all day watching Internet videos. This is frustrating for anyone who takes pride in their work. Productivity and efficiency are not rewarded or even acknowledged, and there is no incentive to work hard. As long as you're filling a chair, nothing else matters. The employees are awesome, but the management leaves a lot to be desired. The managers maliciously lied to me on a number of occasions. I was repeatedly lied to about my compensation. Worse yet, I was coerced into working hundreds of hours for free that they never intended to pay me for. Yardi is the most unethical and morally bankrupt company I've ever worked for.

Based on recent surveys which show that an overwhelming majority of Yardi employees have favorable views of the company, we have to take issue with your negative comments. We stand by our corporate motto: we take care of our employees and our clients. We pay 100% of healthcare premiums for every employee, we contribute eight figures to our employees' profit-sharing plans, and we donate seven figures annually to nonprofit organizations worldwide. That is not the behavior of an unethical or morally bankrupt company. We understand that each individual's experience may differ from the norm, and we wish you good luck in finding a company that meets your expectations.

Pros

Great employees, good benefits, nice facility.

Cons

The starting pay is low. You are told in your interview that YARDI always hires from within and that chances for raises and promotion are plentiful. This is simply not true. In my time here I have seen several supervisors hired from outside the organization which leads to employees having to train their new supervisor. Reviews come annually in March and the process is a joke. The raises for Implementation were 2% across the board with a few exceptions. This is unacceptable considering our most senior implementers have all left and we are expected to absorb their workload. And that leads to the next disappointment - the hiring freeze. There is currently a hiring freeze for the entire Colorado Springs office, so even though we continue to lose employees weekly they are not replacing them. Next is our wonderful production team in Pune, India. They are not properly trained so to "fix" this problem management is insisting we do error cases every time there is a mistake. I'm sure you can imagine how this has completely destroyed any semblance of a pleasant working relationship. Get ready to wait days for tasks you assigned to be completed and while you wait you will be bombarded with the same questions over and over and over and over again. The last real negative area here is upper management, specifically those from ISTA. The processes they are implementing do not work and it is clear to everyone working here that they are getting rid of all the Yardi employees to replace with their ISTA friends. Shouldn't it be the other way around in a takeover? We took over ISTA, not the other way around.

We are aware that there have been issues in our Colorado Springs office. We are listening, and your feedback is important and valuable. Acquisitions always require patience and transition time. As our ista clients migrate to a single platform, we anticipate some of the concerns you raised in your review will resolve. As with most companies, pay increases are determined individually based on job performance. We appreciate all of the efforts of our Colorado Springs staff to work through these challenges and move on to smoother days ahead.

Pros

Laid back atmosphere, good introduction to the industry, company is big and you can move within the entire Yardi company.

Cons

Pay -the company should take a look at what over companies in the same industry are paying their employees and even the utility providers to see what an 'average' salary should be for each type of position.

To address some of your concerns, change is a positive thing, but times of transition can be challenging. As our YES Energy product goes through this transition, we anticipate things will smooth out for our clients and employees. In terms of pay, our salaries are benchmarked against national and regional norms to ensure parity. Taking care of our employees and clients is of utmost importance to us.
