Pros

-Some incredibly smart and nice people work here -Great experience on your resume. Experience here will open a lot of doors. -Benefits are excellent -Low stress -Management is very understanding when it comes to medical/family issues -It's a very secure job. A person would have to try (and try hard) to get fired from here. -Management realizes that Yardi's products are complicated and it takes awhile before you start picking up on things

Cons

-The pay. The pay was low when you compared it with similar positions in IT. After leaving here, I got a new job that increased my salary by over 25%. Yardi is a multi-million dollar company. It holds the majority market share in the asset/property management software market. Yardi could afford to pay their employees a bit better. -It seemed to me that the team leads (management) only got their position because of how long they had been there and how well they followed orders from their superiors -This is a great place to pick up some experience especially for those fresh out of school. But this is not somewhere you want to work for the next 20 years -Turnover. This is likely related to the pay. Once the economy picks back up and Yardi still pays their employees what they pay, they'll see an exodus of talented and smart employees. -There is no room for advancement. You can be a superstar here and you won't be rewarded it. -Being out-of-touch: It seems like all the organization's decisions were made by a few top level people without input from middle management or those of us in the "trenches". They don't have an idea of what went on at the bottom. -Time Sheets. I never understood that in the time I was there. You're a salaried employee. Why do you have to fill out a time sheet? -Resistance to change - The company was started in the early 80's. It seems it's operating mindset today in 2013 is still stuck in the early 80's. -Sometimes, it can be incredibly slow if you're CSD. But when the case come in, it's like they all come in at one time. -Short-term Thinking: Top level management, middle management, the team leads only view things in the short-term. They're unable to view things over the long-term. This will hurt the company more than all the above cons I have listed above.

Pros

The benefits are pretty good

Cons

Management is toxic and abusive. There is racism and sexism. Very cliquish and lots of discrimination. Pay is on the lower end for this work. Mostly younger people fresh out of college with little to no experience. Training doesnt prepare you for the actual work that well. Most of the offices are like this not just Texas.

At Yardi we care deeply for the wellbeing and success of each employe, and we find it surprising that you do not feel more comfortable sharing your concerns directly with senior management or with Human Resources after being with our Irving location for 3 years. We strive to maintain a fair, inclusive, and respectful environment where employees feel safe, supported, well-trained and taken care of (with robust benefits offerings and competitive pay). We have zero tolerance for discrimination or misconduct of any kind and highly encourage anyone with a concern to schedule time to meet with any member of the HR management team or the VP of HR to further discuss.

Pros

Great to start and get acclimated with account management and technical customer service

Cons

Slow moving in terms of pay/promotions/growth. You need to be at the company 2 years to be able to drop your associate title and/or transfer teams.

Thank you for sharing about your experience as an Associate Technical Account Manager in our Atlanta office. We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed the training and foundation you have received in account management and technical customer service. Employees have annual reviews with their managers to discuss goals and performance as well as opportunities for advancement based on contribution, and we often see salary increases as our employees grow in their roles with Yardi and increase their subject matter knowledge.
