Pros

Its a nice place to work. There is no dress code for work. They just expect you to be decent. Flexible hours of work. Appreciative management.

Cons

For some team, a lot of development is happening which is a good thing but the work force they provide is sometimes less. In some departments like customer support, the pay is low.

Pros

The most significant "pro" is free insurance. There are a few great people working in middle management, but they are quickly being weeded out.

Cons

Yardi has become a fairly miserable place to work. The pay is so low that the majority of the people who are qualified and good at their jobs have either left or are looking for any opportunity to get out. Because some critical departments are so understaffed, instead of hiring more people and getting things stabilized, upper management decided to re-structure my team increasing the workload and placing over half of the people with a manager that had no experience or knowledge about their subordinates' job and responsibilities. Upper management does not seem to place any value on the recommendations of middle management, so decisions are made without consideration of the specific factors in play. My particular office also had a serious problem with nepotism and employee referrals. It got a few good people working there and a whole lot more with horrible work ethics or who were flat out incapable of performing the duties of an entry level job. By the end of the time I worked at the company, I spent over half of my time either correcting the mistakes of people management had instructed to do all of the "grunt work" or try to explain the problem and train the people actually doing the work. The company has a policy of outsourcing everything that they can to Pune, India and Cluj, Romania. I don't have an issue with that per se, but the plan is to outsource everything without providing anyone with proper training.
