Need a mix up of management

Pros

It used to be a great place to start your career. You were welcomed in just about any meeting you wanted to attend. You got exposure to many facets of business at a young age.

Cons

If you didn't go to a Big Ten school, good luck getting hired. Never once heard any talks about compensation increases (the only time this happened for anyone is if they threatened to leave and they needed them to stay). New management under private equity is in it for a quick dollar for themselves, don't invest into any of the employees especially the ones that are still there from before the buyout.

Pros

Friendly and flexible working environment. You have the ability to find your fit in the company and direct your own work. Many people liken working at Young to a hand-on business school experience - as a small company you have the option to learn about diverse business functions and get your hands dirty.

Cons

Uneven professional development opportunities. While there is strong upper management, middle management is weak.
