      Great company, great people, a little too traditional for 2021

      Pros

      Great company that is loyal to its employees. Full of great people who are dedicated to building products that save lives. The company continues to grow tremendously and will be stable long term.

      Cons

      The office is going through a complete upgrade during the pandemic, which is great as it was looking very, very dated. Overall, the company is making strides towards improving themselves inside and out, but there are still many things about ZOLL that are quite traditional and outdated compared to the majority of companies in 2021. Additionally, the company needs to make greater strides in diversity of new hires, leadership, and upper management, and needs to look to revamp their entire benefits package to be more competitive.

      Pros

      Flexibility with work/home life Unlimited training/ training is encouraged PTO is nice after putting in time with company. No micromanaging.

      Cons

      Poor management Toxic environment Back stabbing Poor pay HR is laughable. Can't go to them for anything. Favoritism. They are notorious for making employees do work way above your title and pay. They dangle the carrot but never make good on promises until you threaten to leave. They will literally push you to the max until you either break down and leave or put in 2 week notice and then they pull that promotion they have been promising for two years out of their back pocket to suck you back in.

      Pros

      The product is fairly well-made, and typically works

      Cons

      No chance to advance (supervisors and above mostly hired from the outside) or move around the company if you are not favored by management. Horrible direction from management as well as senior management. No new product in over 10 years for a tech company seems absurd as does the fact that the initial issues after first release are still the same issues. Senior management remains stagnant and unmoving. Appears to just be maintaining the status quo.
