      Great place to learn about sales and marketing as it specifically applies to pharma and biotech.

      Pros

      Gain real expertise in a specific area for a specific industry. Great co-workers (despite low morale) Low travel compared to other consulting firms

      Cons

      Often times politics trump merit in evaluating & rewarding employees. There are "untouchable" people just because of their personal connections/relationships with partners. Narrowly defined industry focus. Poor articulation/implementation of vision. Complete lack of clarity when it comes to compensation, particularly bonuses. It is a mystery how bonuses are calculated. The management does not even communicate a range or basic stats.

      ZS Associates has a wonderful culture, but projects can be repetitive and can make people burn out.

      1. Culture - People are very friendly and approachable. They will help you even if the project has nothing to do with theirs. The amount of politics is very low 2. Knowledge Sharing - At ZS people are very willing to share what they know. 3. Willing to make changes to address issues

      Cons

      1. Pay could be higher for the amount of time we work. 2. Projects can be repetitive and may lead to increased risk of burning out.
