The inclusivity is all a show

Pros

I met some lifelong friends and I learned so much about the industry.

Cons

The work/life balance is awful, expect to work crazy hours. The women in management treat younger female colleagues worse than their male counterparts. I was reprimanded by a female manager for being out on unexpected leave due to a medical emergency. When I notified HR of the horrendous treatment from the female manager, they did nothing about it. Aside from this awful treatment, I constantly heard racial comments being made by colleagues about Hispanics. ZS likes to put a front of inclusivity but in reality it is a toxic environment.

Pros

It is a consulting firm with great pay that offers a level of benefits I've only ever seen at nonprofits. Everyone I've met has been fantastic. My coworkers are wicked smart, which keeps me on my toes and doing my best to perform better. Additionally, they treat you like adults. You take the time off you need when you need it. With the hybrid model of working 3 days in the office, 2 at home, no one is hovering over you to make sure you are strictly adhering to it. We come in because it's a good change of pace to work alongside people and network. If one of us has to work from home all week for some reason, you just let your team know and that's the end of it.

Cons

Starting off it can take a while to get staffed. Sometimes you may work with teams across different time zones, which will make your hours a little spread out -- but they never expect you to work beyond the 40-50 hours/week window and you can get promoted even while sticking to this work schedule. From an organizational standpoint, it can be tough to figure out how everything works. The whole firm is flat as a pancake, so when they say "talk to your manager" that basically means talk to whoever is running point on the project(s) you are working on. As someone who didn't come from a consulting background, that took some getting used to.

Pros

Benefits and coffee machine and location.

Cons

Sweat shop, lack of diversity, lip service on diversity and promoting women and people of color.
