Pros

If you are in Data Science field, this place is growing their teams. These teams are humming by just fine. Quiet work environment. Not a lot of people talking out loud for an open office setup. Great views of SF cityscape, Oakland, and Berkeley and walking paths from the office along the bay and marina. Easily commutable East Bay location. Company paid parking garage.

Cons

Perks and benefits are not competitive. No Catered lunch Tue/Thu. It is No longer a perk. Parent company has halted this in-house software team including their development and design teams. If you are not on the data science teams, there is only job instability and uncertainty due to multiple large rounds of layoffs. Mediocre business product, abysmal product experience for the end-user, and chaotic internal processes. Newly instated processes are driving productivity backwards instead of progressing in efficiency. Bring lunch from home because eating out is expensive, low variety and not easily accessible by foot.

Pros

- People that you work with are friendly and open-minded. Great culture and value. - Ample workspace with standing desks. - Cater lunches on Tues and Thurs. - Relatively easy technical interview. - Very flexible work hour policy, a plus to work-life balance.

Cons

- Lack of compensation and promotion. - As team grows, watch out for getting pigeonholed into doing specific tasks, resulting in lack of personal growth. - Lack of mentoring for onboarding employees ( and even some current employees) - Political correctness at workplace can be over the top. - Having to wear different hats probably result from hiring lots of juniors instead of retaining and promoting senior employees.
