Pros
-Benefits are really close to as good as they get. You earn PTO faster than you can realistically use it, and are encouraged to use it. Medical is an above average plan, very affordable for full family, and they paid my full HSA money up front as soon as I cleared probation. They kick in huge portions for all the “Ala-Carte/Cafe” stuff: Life, Disability, Eye, etc... -Wages were super competitive for the area I took the job. -Training duration was better than anything I have ever seen. (Maybe it was Supervisor specific, IDK.) -Job security -Amazing support from co-workers. -Regardless of your employment background or interests, Caterpillar is an industry leader, in a competitive environment, and it’s kind of fun to work for one of their premier dealers.
Cons
-Ziegler has been a powerful employer for a long time, and they have developed a system that works. It works well, but don’t expect to be a trailblazer, full of “better” ways to do things. If you are willing to be a cog, it’s a super efficient wheel. Normal, corporate stuff.
