Pros

Most employees are very nice. Even many managers. It's not as cut-throat as many other places. Work / life balance is generally okay. There was never a return to office mandate after the pandemic.

Cons

The salaries and benefits are abysmal. In the last few years, they've stripped away every benefit they possibly can and given the bare minimum raises. Morale is generally quite poor. Most people are doing the work of several people because there has been a hiring freeze for almost all positions for several years.

Ziff Davis Shopping just laid off 20% of the entire business unit, meaning 70 to 75 people lost their livelihoods with no notice. Maybe received only two months' severance.

When I was there, leadership took a don’t care attitude when it came to DEI and culture initiatives. Not everyone currently there was there when I was, however the same people at the very top who make the difference are.
