I feel very fortunate and grateful for having the opportunity to work for Ziff Davis /VIPRE Security Group. I joined the organization through the acquisition and I am lucky to be part of a bigger team. We have excellent benefits and a strong leadership team. There are many great projects and opportunities there - from diversity and inclusion to mentoring and volunteering. The unlimited time off is very helpful, as well as the engagement awards programs and employee perks are outstanding. I like the open-door policy via surveys and the ability to connect with senior leaders. The HR team is great and very supportive and keeps us informed. In addition, there is a career advancement portal where we can look for jobs to be promoted from within internally. At VIPRE we have the ability to work on different projects and get connected with international teams.

Cons

I miss working in the office but enjoy working from home.

Pros

People seem happy here. Flexible with remote work. No micromanaging. Leadership is way better than other media companies. Seems like a secure job as far as media companies go (CEO seems to know what he's doing and lay-offs have not affected us). Things we ask for from management seem to be given to us most times.

Cons

I personally don't have a road map to move up as a writer under my current team. There is no road map for advancement.
