Pros

Good energy, generous benefits, great snack, good onboarding: seems like a fairly flat management style, too new to the position to really make any comments.

Cons

The office space is just ok. Other than the standing desks and generous kitchen, the physical environment could be better.

Thanks for your feedback. Sounds like you are off to a great start. If you have specific ideas about how we can make the office environment better, please pass that on. I'd be happy to take the feedback and make sure it gets to the right people for consideration. As you mention, we have made a few key improvements over the past few years, including flexible desks and good selection of healthy food (and a few options to satisfy our sweet tooth). Not sure what office location you work in, but the views in Seattle, where I have my desk, are awesome, and it is fun to be downtown with good transit options and only a few blocks from Pike Market. Thanks again. -David Beitel, Zillow Group CTO.

Pros

Great work, working on high impact teams (as a software engineer). Lots of flexibility and management is very good about being flexible but also making sure you get your work done. STRONG emphasis on good work life balance!

Cons

Some of the RSU/Stock option compensations are lacking but they're in the process of fixing that. Benefits and pay are good, but could be better!

Thanks for your feedback. I am glad you are feeling that you are able to have a high impact. We purposefully structure our small product teams to provide this. If you have ideas on how we can make these teams work better, please come find me in the office and share. Our stock, along with the entire market, has been down some lately, but with a long term approach we are focusing on the right things to help the business grow. If we execute well, the stock should follow. That said, I am glad we have rolled out a unique RSU/option choice program that gives employees choice. Again, thanks for your feedback and hard work making Zillow successful. David Beitel, Zillow Group CTO

Thanks for writing the review. I'm glad you like the overall atmosphere. We put a lot of effort into making sure we have a fun, cohesive, and exciting work environment. I am sorry, though, that you feel like there's no real leadership in your area and limited growth opportunities. We almost always promote from within, and we have many recent examples of account managers moving up with lots of growing responsibility. If you can, please reach out to me as I'd like to hear more about your concerns to see where we can make things better. -Tony Small, VP and General Manager
