Pros
- Laid back environment - New hires will get fair base pay - Each position is very specific in their role, so you won't have to do ten people's jobs on your own - The products we make change people's lives for the better - I truly enjoy the work I do
Cons
- Underlying discourse post-merger - Major difference in pay between legacy Zimmer and legacy Biomet team members doing the same job with the same experience - Low caps on annual merit increases and promotion merit increases - You would earn more financially by getting hired externally into a higher position than you would taking a promotion internally (i.e. going from Sr level to Principal level) - Lots of lay-offs and people quitting creates a lot of unrest - Slow moving through the extra amount of red tape post-merger - Not enough consistency on the technical/design side
