With the recent merger with Biomet, the company will be in a state of flux for the next couple of years, with a more than a handful of chaos mixed in.

Pros

Good solid company that has been around for many years. Recession proof industry that continues to strive through rough economic times. Continues to invest in new equipment frequently.

Cons

Needs a drastic change in direction of leadership. Has only select few managers at director level and up that has the capacity to make things happen. These select few have great rapport with the lowest levels of hourly workforce, and their departments are very successful. CEO and VPs need to get their hands dirty, and get back to the production floor and see what can be done about these shortcomings.

Pros

As an orthopedic company, Zimmer Biomet makes products which improve the quality of people's lives. There are really good people here who care deeply about the patients who will receive our implants. There are many highly qualified, intelligent team members here at Zimmer Biomet. Coming from legacy Biomet, we had a team atmosphere with everyone pulling together to produce excellent products in efficient and effective ways while marketing them well. Legacy Biomet had a very collaborative way and I hope it continues with the new company.

Cons

There are definite concerns about how the two companies will come together. So far, the integration seems to be going well but there is concern about how things will settle after the honeymoon period.
