Pros

This is a small company doing something different in the restaurant industry. Being small, you have the ability to work on many different things. Employees are nice. You can coast along contributing the minimum if that's your MO.

Cons

If you are mid-career or below, this might be a good place to get some experience you're looking for. I would not recommend Ziosk to senior level employees or higher. This is due to lack of strong leadership and the inability of the leaders/managers to stick to and execute a plan. Senior level employees might find themselves better equipped to execute than their managers. The technology is starting to become just another commodity in the low margin restaurant world. It's not as exciting as they promote. Hopefully the future holds something great. Many employees and managers question the contribution of the CEO. HR style is one that acts as a protector of the company, not employee friendly. They do not enforce employee training and development and do not ensure managers are qualified or enforce management training. HR is out of touch with how all of their managers operate.

Pros

Ziosk offers a fair range of benefits while pushing you to do your personal best. I love that they believe in collaborative development and excellence. The culture/work environment are excellent and the overall morale of the employees is high.

Cons

When a company grows as fast as Ziosk has, there will obviously be growing pains. When there's a challenge, the team comes together to find a solution, but they need to invest a little more in middle management.

Pros

Great company leading the restaurant technology innovation, applying the big data, analytics, BI and IoT to the casual dinning business, and potentially other hospitality verticals. Although it's a small-sized company just passed start-up phase, it has collected many experienced managers in the industry who are able to make smart decisions and lead the company's organic growth. People were really nice in the company, maintaining a family like relationship. I was greeted by a person couple times in the hallway during my first week, and later found he was our president. CEO Austen Mulinder w/ his British accent, always brought in latest company status, market info , and abundant humors in his monthly employee town-hall meetings. This is a place where your effort and achievement are constantly recognized and awarded.

Cons

The company has just changed it's development process from Waterfall to Agile in the past year, and people are still ramping up on its way to being self-managing and more effective. I believe it's something common to all growth company and Ziosk will find a way to cope with it soon.
