Pros

The idea of ZoomCare was great, a grass roots effort to change the way healthcare is delivered to our community. The goal was to create a healthcare model that was focused around the needs of the patient, providing fair pricing and easy access to care. This idea attracted a lot of smart, hardworking people which were really great to work with. Unfortunately, I believe the dream died a while ago and what remains is money hungry organization with shoddy leadership and the highest turnover rate of any company I have ever worked at.

Cons

I could write pages upon pages of the negative experiences I had at zoomcare. I will save you a lot of wasted time, anguish, and wallowing in your self-despair and flat out tell you to not work at this company. I know what you're thinking " but some of these reviews on here make it sound ok". Those reviews are falsely implanted by HR in a poor attempt to artificially inflate zoomcares self-worth. Your future self is begging you to heed this warning stay away. Pay is low, hours are long, and no matter how much effort you put in, you'll just be asked for more. Managers constantly make promises they have no intention of keeping but will say anything to squeeze more work out of you until you finally have had enough and decide to quit. At this point they'll all yell in unison " next" while they wait for the next poor sucker to come in full of vigor and determination only to realize this company is fundamentally flawed and needs a major overhaul to succeed. If you love getting lied to, disrespected, overworked, under appreciated, and being apart of a crumbling organization then Zoomcare might actually be right for you.

Pros

Fantastic schedule, three day weekends every weekend. Great coworkers, it's easy to bond over shared misery. Good learning opportunity and direct patient care for pre PA, pre med, pre NP... Zoomcare offers great opportunity for growth within the company... but only if you are willing to engage in an intimate relationship with your boss. Not admirable or original, but the perks are stellar. You won't be held to the same standards as everyone else. You'll have leverage over coworkers, get promotions, and receive preferential treatment.

Cons

CONSTANT change! You will feel more respected and valued working at McDonald's. Lack of a Human Resources department. Due to the absence of HR, coworker disputes are handled poorly by overworked management and there is never resolution.

Pros

Great Model - Simple, easy to use, convenient Great People - Some of my favorite co-workers of any company I've worked for!

Cons

Terrible management - the executives have made a lot of bad business decisions, resulting in a state AND federal investigation (for different things), and the owners looking to sell the company before they go bankrupt. Managers always talk about getting to "cash-flow break even," meaning that after 11 years Zoom is still using investment money to keep the lights on. It also means the clinic staff is under intense pressure to see more patients in a day in a shorter amount of time, code higher, sell more meds and make people come back to clinic to pay another visit fee to go over things that could be handled over the phone or through email (simple lab results, for example). In the last 6 months, they have cut provider pay (specifically ND's by 25%, after hiring them on at a contracted rate), and they have let an untold number of employees go from headquarters (I've heard up to 50% of headquarter staff has been let go this year).
